Mina Rees Library Announcement

It is with pleasure that we announce that the Mina Rees Library at the CUNY Graduate Center now subscribes to the Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO). ECCO will nicely complement the collection of eighteenth-century materials housed in the Reading Room, and will enhance the scholarly pursuit of eighteenth-century studies here at the Graduate Center. Much gratitude and many thanks are extended to President William P. Kelly and Provost Linda N. Edwards for their great effort and support in the library’s acquisition of ECCO. Researchers, scholars and students of the eighteenth century are appreciative.   ECCO offers every page of 150,000 books published during the eighteenth century in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Latin, Spanish, and Welsh. In addition to searches by author, title, and publisher, these books may be searched by individual categories such as fine arts, history and geography, law, literature and language, medicine, science, and technology, religion and philosophy, social sciences, general reference, or a combination of two or more subjects. Illustrated works may be searched by cartoon, map, music, portrait, etc. ECCO may also be browsed by author and title. For further information, visit the Mina Rees Library at: http://www.library.gc.cuny.edu/
